Bitter for better!

This is to the woman who has seen the different sides of men
The woman who fears going into a relationship again.
The woman who still carries around the scar of her past.
The woman who doubts if she can trust again
The woman who still has fear in her.
The woman who cringes at the word "Trust"
Girl, you are not alone.
Other women (including the writer) have been there.
You know the difference? We are not the same women anymore.
We have exchanged our bitterness for better.
How? It's not so simple, but you can do it.
It's okay to admit you've been hurt, nobody deserves the pain you've been through with these men.
But, without any doubt, you can love again, you can trust again and very importantly you will smile again.
I thought to myself this afternoon, that "Men have shown me in this Lagos" Lol.
Now, I don't belong to the league of people who call men scum.
I don't even believe men are scum.
What changed? I hear you asking.
The answer is Jesus!
Let him have your bitter experience(s)

With love from your favorite girl,
Adetomi ♥️

The time I almost took my life!

"How come you never mentioned this?" Because, opening up is hard, very hard!
"But you are always so joyful. Your whatsapp status is hilarious!" That's the job description.
"I wish I had reached out" You wouldn't have known, I promise.
"We talk almost everyday and you never mentioned it" I'm sorry!
"You are always there for everyone, how did you get to this point?" That's always the first sign, you should check on your strong friend more often .
"You are a Christian ,how did you become suicidal?" Let's just say the devil is a bastard!
"You have a family, why didn't you tell them?" I do?
"Why?" Because I saw no other option!

To be continued!
If you are already convinced about life on the other side, or you are thinking of painless ways to take your life, please reach out to me! I am accessible everywhere.

Help! I don't have any friend! πŸ˜–

Hi, why don't you have any friend? πŸ˜’
You've heard so many stories of friends hurting each other and you have made up your mind, that you'll never have friends.
You'll rather just be friends with your family members. Right?
News flash! They πŸ‘ will πŸ‘hurtπŸ‘ you πŸ‘tooπŸ‘
Okay, Tomi what do I do? I am scared!
Now let me step in.

Rule one!
Be ready to be hurt.
What?  Tomi did you just say that?
Well, yes I did. I'm sorry.
At one point or the other, people will hurt you. If they haven't yet, keep breathing, that day is coming.
I am not a prophetess of doom, that's mean! But guarding your heart from being broken is the easiest way to break it.
I sound like a motivational speaker right now.
Anyway, that settled, lets go to the next rule.

Rule 2.
Be a friend!
I'm serious, please don't tune off yet.
I know you want friends, and here I am asking you to be a friend. Sigh. But how?
First, it starts with a smile. Nobody talks to a strong faced girl / guy. Well, not me!
How about starting with the person right next to you?
That person the ushers sit you beside in church.
After service, smile and introduce yourself. Pay a honest compliment! If you like their shoes or their perfume, say it with all honesty.

Rule 3
Add value!
Nobody likes a parasite.  Ouch! That hurt! But it's true.
Okay, so Tomi, how do I add value?
Let's settle something, by adding value, I'm not even talking about money. Maybe that is part of it.
How about you share a book you are currently reading, that you know will be of value to that friend?
Okay, maybe you don't read books.
How about promoting what the person does? Ask for what they do and actually share it with your network.
This always works!
Don't ask me how I found out, just try it!

Do you have more? Please, please, leave a comment.
I love you. I'm serious.
I do.
